However, if there are criteria for controlling the oil, we can make comparison by determining control items.<\/p>\n\n<h4><span>Can you evaluate and analyze whether an oil is an illegal fuel oil?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"second-tex tume\">Mixture of kerosene and heavy oil can be presumed by analysis of the fuel oil indicator (Coumarin).<br class=\"\">\nAlso, by performing sulfuric and Gas Chromatography analysis as well, it enables us to assume contaminated grade.<\/p>\n\n<h4><span>Is there any correlation between Cetane number and Cetane index?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"second-tex tume\">JIS K2280 states \u201cdiesel fuel oil without Cetane improver indicates the equivalent value as Cetane number.\u3000However, Cetane index cannot be abstracted from diesel fuel oil with Cetane improver.\u201d These is relatively an intimate correlation with petroleum-fuel.<\/p>\n\n<h4><span>Can you measure Octane number of a fuel with alcohol?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"second-tex tume\">Yes. However, JIS specification allows ethyl alcohol within 25%.<br class=\"\">\nMeasurements of alcohol concentration of 25% or more are for reference only.<\/p>\n\n<h4><span>Can you perform component analysis by Gas Chromatography for a fuel with alcohol?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"second-tex tume\">Yes. However, in some cases, analysis is not possible because of a duplication of component depending on a type of alcohol.<\/p>\n\n<h4><span>What is the difference between JPI method and IP method for fuel oil composition analysis?\nIs there any correlation on data?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"second-tex tume\">JPI method is mainly used in Japan, and it reports saturates, Olefin content and aroma contents (mono-, di-, and ply aromatic [TRI+]).<br class=\"\">\nOn the other hand, IP method is mainly used in Europe, and it reports only aroma contents (mono-, di-, and ply aromatic [TRI+]).<br class=\"\">\nThere is a tendency of having correlation on data to some extent, but we may not be able to make determination sometimes depending on a difference of test material.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.svctokyo.co.jp\/cn\/items\/fuel\/\" class=\"btn-mid\">Test Item List of Analytical Testing of Fuel<\/a>\n<BR CLEAR=\"all\">\n<div id=\"faq03\"><\/div>\n<h3>Questions about Testing of Lubricants<\/h3>\n<h4><span>Can you determine if lubricant which has been in use for a machine still can be used?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"second-tex tume\">We cannot make an overall determination if it is usable or not. Please contact us.<\/p>\n\n<h4><span>Can you determine cone penetration with small amount of sample?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"second-tex tume\">Determination can be performed with 5g of sample at the smallest, but in some cases, correlation cannot be obtained depending on a type of grease, compared with the determination using regular amount of sample.
